Privacy Policy

Wonday is built around a simple promise: your goals are yours. Your goals and everything you write stay on your device. To keep the app working well, we use Google Firebase for privacy-conscious usage analytics and crash reporting — this never includes the content of your goals, notes, or routines.

The short version

• No account, no sign-in. You don't give us your name, email, or any personal details to use the app.
• Your goals, history, routines, focus sessions, and settings are stored locally on your device — we never upload the content of your goals or notes.
• We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the app is used (which screens and features — not what you write) and to fix crashes.
• We don't sell your data, and Wonday does not currently show ads. Usage and diagnostic data is processed by Google as our service provider.

What data Wonday stores (on your device)

To do its job, Wonday saves the following only in the app's private storage on your phone:

• Your daily goals, completion history, and any notes or sub-steps you add.
• Routines you create and their completion history.
• Deep Focus session records.
• Your preferences (reminder times, theme, sound, and other settings).

This content — your goals, notes, routines, and history — never leaves your device through Wonday, and we have no servers that receive it. The usage and crash data described below is separate and never includes this content.

Analytics and crash reporting

To understand how Wonday is used and to fix problems, the app uses two Google Firebase services. They collect usage and diagnostic data — never the text of your goals, notes, or routine names.

• Firebase Analytics — records non-identifying usage events such as which screens you open and which features you tap, together with general device and app information (device model, operating-system version, app version, language, and region). On Android this also includes a mobile advertising identifier (used to measure app-install campaigns); on iOS we do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across other apps or websites — install measurement uses Google's privacy-preserving on-device conversion. We use all of this only to see which parts of the app help, and to improve it.
• Firebase Crashlytics — when the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a diagnostic report (the type of error, a stack trace, device state, and a breadcrumb trail of the recent in-app actions that led up to it) so we can fix the bug.

This data is processed by Google on our behalf as a service provider. Google's handling of it is described in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security. On Android you can reset or limit the advertising identifier in Settings → Privacy → Ads; on iOS you can manage app tracking under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Backups

If your device's backup is turned on, its operating system may back up Wonday's data so you can restore it on a new device — on Android to your own Google account / Google Drive, and on iOS to your own iCloud account. This is handled entirely by your device and platform (Google or Apple) under your own backup settings — Wonday does not control or access these backups, and we never see their contents. You can also export a backup file manually from within the app and store it wherever you choose.

Purchases

The optional one-time "Unlock Wonday" purchase is processed by Google Play Billing on Android and Apple's App Store (In-App Purchase) on iOS. Google or Apple handles your payment; Wonday does not receive or store your payment details. We only receive the store's confirmation of whether a purchase is active.

Notifications and reminders

Reminders are generated and scheduled on your device. They are not sent from any server and contain no data shared with us.

Permissions

Wonday requests only what it needs to work, all on-device:

• Notifications (Android & iOS) — to show your reminders. You can decline or turn them off anytime.
• Do Not Disturb / Focus access (optional) — only if you turn on "Do Not Disturb during focus."

On Android, Wonday also uses "Alarms & reminders" to deliver reminders at your chosen time and "Run at startup" to re-schedule them after the phone restarts — both handled by the operating system with no data shared with us. On iOS, reminders are scheduled through the system's own local-notification framework and need no additional permissions.

Children

Wonday is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Your control

Because everything is stored locally, you are always in control: uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your device settings, removes Wonday's data from your device.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

Your use of Wonday is also governed by our Terms of Use, which include important disclaimers — the app is provided "as is", you use it at your own risk, and our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
